A Look Inside Our…

Outreach

SEB continues to focus on community outreach as a way to engage potential clients and help meet the immediate needs of LGBTQ+ houseless individuals. Supplies and funds donated to SEB to support toiletry packets, food and water, and an array of clothing items have been extremely helpful. SEB outreach occurs every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Preassembled hygiene, snack, and safety kits are handed out to individuals at camp sites in the Louisville Metro area.

Volunteer Program

Sweet Evening Breeze currently has 35 volunteers engaged in services. We wish to thank EVERY ONE of them for their hard work and continued investment in what we do. Volunteer positions currently include intake, outreach, administration, and assembly. We could not have accomplished as much as we have this year without the support of our volunteers.

Next Phase

As Sweet Evening Breeze wraps up phase II of its strategic plan, we are gearing up for the most important element of the organization’s growth which includes adding the residential component to our current services. As we move into phase III (offering housing units for clients), we will begin exploring properties around Louisville for an LGBTQ+ residential and support center for our clients. The Center will provide transitional housing, 15-20 units/beds, day shelter services, individual clinical and therapy support, case management, laundry facilities, showers, and a pantry/kitchen, in addition to the services we currently offer.

Donors and Other Contributors

Sweet Evening Breeze is very THANKFUL to ALL of our individual donors, families, partners, retailers, banks, and foundations who have given graciously to our mission and commitment to serve. We look forward to sharing our continued growth and success with ALL of you. Thank you for this partnership. Also, we wish to thank the Ali Forney Center of New York for showing us the way…
